Three Week Zimbabwe overlanding / ‘Wild Camping’ Experience
– a testimonial!
Recently, my partner Ursula and I took time out to travel in a group in convoy to some of the most incredible nature spots in Zimbabwe. We camped in these beautiful remote places and were privileged to experience wonderful wildlife sightings, enjoying the peace and relaxation of being out in wild nature.
We saw the big 5, the little 5, beautiful unspoilt landscapes and scenery and spectacular African sunsets – but not a pharmacy in sight!
As they say Africa is not for sissies and we have complete trust in our Pegasus Blue Box™ to be our all-in-one pharmacy and wouldn’t you know it, we made good use of it! In our party of 10 as well as other overlanders and campers nearby, we were able to help with:
- Our ‘Camp Kommandant’ and his wife came down with a general flu but recovered within 2 days alternating the Pegasus Cold & Flu 30C and Anti-Virabac 200C (natural antibiotic)
- A female fellow camper was bitten by a spider on her abdomen. Her groin glands became swollen and painful which was very worrying. We gave her 2 remedies, alternating the Pegasus Bites 30C & Anti-Virabac 200C and applied topically the Herbal Antiseptic Gel. She recovered fully within 3 days.
- One older member of our group went into severe back spasm lifting a heavy water cannister. Pegasus Injury 6C alternated with the Anti-Spasm 200C remedies had him fully active within a few days.
- I am not generally a big beer drinker BUT at between 35-41 degree dry temperatures, the entire party were sipping constantly on Zambezi Beers. The Liver 30C remedy was regularly administered to all, resulting in good early morning energy and ‘hang-over’ blues non-existent!
The horrendous road conditions, challenging to even the most experienced of our overlanding group, became extremely testing and Ursula, being a poor passenger (back seat driver!) resorted to frequent doses of Calming 30C!
Finally, a fellow overlander succumbed to a serious bout of ‘Gut Rot’ but recovered rapidly using the Pegasus NVD 30C (Nausea, Vomiting & Diarrhoea)
